Arriving for the midnight release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at EB Games on Queen Street West, Toronto, fans are redirected down the road to a Sony trailer where they could play the game while waiting for release. Other events taking place in downtown Toronto were hosted at Best Buy by Microsoft and Future Shop by Sony.

As the stock markets crashed in September 2008, the world quickly descended into an economic time of darkness. These photos are taken along or near Bay Street, Toronto during the descent.
